  MBCA Regional Rep Duties

   

  Attend MBCA Fall (September) and Spring (March) Meetings

  Contribute to the MBCA Polls bi-weekly during the season through one of the following means: 

  Voting personally for each class bi-weekly

  Assigning coaches within your region to vote bi-weekly for each class

  Combination of the two.

  Alert all coaches in your region of MBCA Awards prior to the needed due dates

  Cub Martin Asst. Coaches of the Year

  Curtis Kerr Student Asst. of the Year

  Academic All-State

  Assemble All-District Teams from district tournaments in your region

  Making sure each district has a person in charge of girls and boys selection for this team

  Returning final completion of the voting to Shawn Erickson - info@mobca.org

  Ensuring that all voting is listed in order - best player listed first, second best player listed 2nd, etc.

  Attend or send a representative to one of the 2 MBCA Scholastic Recruiting Events. These events are in June. Please schedule your summer activities around one or both of these events. For 2023, the dates of these events have not been finalized by the NCAA. We will share these dates with you when we have them.

  Find coaches in your region to attend the All-State Selection Process at the Final Four

  A representative from your region must be present at the All-State Selection Meeting for each class

  These representatives are also encouraged to vote on the polls bi-weekly

  If your region has few schools in the largest or smallest classes you may combine with a region that is near you to combine and send 2 representatives in the larger classes and smallest classes selection event.

  Help identify players for the June Scholastic Events, as needed, by the directors of the scholastic events. 

  Help with clinic duties as assigned and signed up for.
