A two-time Class 5 state champion, Courtney Ramey finished his Webster Groves career as the Statesmen leading all-time scorer in school history as well as the leader in assists.
Ramey averaged 21 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists helping the Statesmen earn back-to-back Class 5 state championships. The title was the fourth in school history for Webster Groves.
Ramey finished with 1,838 points, 521 assists, finished 2nd. in school history with 741 rebounds. Named as the Class 5 player of the year by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association, Ramey left with additional hardware earning selection as Mr. Show-Me Basketball.
Ramey joins an impressive list of top Missouri preps to earn the prestigious honor including Jayson Tatum, Bradley Beal, Anthony Peeler, Tyler Hansbrough, and others.
A two-time St. Louis metro player of the year selection, Ramey also earned USA TODAY, Missouri Player of the Year honors. An early commit to Louisville, Ramey backed off his commitment in the fall of 2017 when information about the FBI investigation into college basketball reached Louisville and ended the coaching stint of head coach Rick Pitino.
Ramey is one of the top remaining unsigned prospects in the nation. He is still considering Louisville, while also looking at Texas, Illinois, Ohio State and others. Many in the Show-Me State hope he follows other Mr. Show-Me winners such as Jimmy McKinney, Kareem Rush, Chris Heller, and Michael Dixon who went on to play in-state for the Missouri Tigers.
